OUR STORY

Re-Offline is a Helsinki-based design practice exploring how the conditions around us shape human connection.
The work began in 2021 under the name Tngl Studio, initially through physical tools and card games designed to structure conversation, reflection and participation. Since then, we have developed 23 products and sold more than 36,000 card games in Finland. That work gave us an early way to observe something that still guides Re-Offline today: connection is affected by how an encounter is designed.
Over time, our focus expanded from the object to the wider setting around it. We became interested in the role of space, attention, participation, facilitation and shared activity in how people experience one another. This led to workshops, gatherings, exhibitions, events and collaborations, and in 2026 to the opening of our own dedicated offline space in Helsinki.
Today, Re-Offline brings these strands together. We design physical tools, create workshops and Offline Moments, work with teams and organisations, and use our Helsinki studio as a place to develop and test new formats for human connection. Offline Moments is the community around this work and the encounters that emerge from it, from small gatherings to exhibitions, fairs and curated social experiences.
The work continues to evolve, but the central question remains consistent: how can we design better conditions for people to connect?
INCLUSIVITY
SUSTAINABILITY
OUR PRINCIPLES
Human connection depends on people feeling able to enter, participate and be heard.
We design spaces, tools and formats that support different ages, backgrounds and ways of taking part. Clear structure, openness and consideration for context are part of how we design every encounter.
For us, sustainability includes the materials we use, how we produce, and the kinds of relationships and communities our work supports.
We develop physical products with attention to quality and longevity, and design experiences that can be adapted, repeated and carried into different contexts.
Our work starts from a simple idea: the conditions around an encounter shape how people connect.
Space, time, attention, participation, facilitation and tangible elements all play a role. We use these principles to guide the tools, workshops, gatherings and formats we develop.
That last section especially brings the intellectual edge you were asking for earlier. It connects the public brand directly to the deeper thinking behind your work without sounding like a research paper.
